New Files

With Kairon 3 comes a new approach to files and filing systems. Anyone who is new to Kairon 3 (Including those familiar with Kairon 2.19) will need to read this.

Kairon 3 is based on AAF data sets that are kept in AAF-Files. These files act as archives of between 1 and 30 AAF data sets.

To save new files there are two things you need to know:

  1. You must enter your data to the data list by choosing either the "+" or "change" buttons on the data entry screen. Data not stored in this fashion will be lost on the "save" command.
(This prevents you from accidentally overwriting data but you need to remember to do it)
  2. Chart files you wish to compare using the Synastry, Composite, or Combine functions must be housed in the same AAF-File.

Managing AAF-Files Data

View > Text > AAF-File

You may Copy-Paste any AAF-data from any AAF-Files into the AAF-Files section of Kairon 3.

Don't forget to click the "update menus to changes" button to save the file.

It can be difficult to quickly identify where one AAF record ends and the next one begins. To make this easier, the chart selected in the Data Entry window is automatically selected, start to finish, in the AAF-File window.
